A Psychologist specializes in behavior, thoughts and emotions using talk therapy and counseling and do not prescribe medication.
A psychiatrist is a medical doctor (MD) who specializes in mental health and they prescribe medication and provide medical treatment.

No, they do not. They specialise in mutiple approaches like Behavioural, Cognitive, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Biological, Sociocultural, Cross-disciplinary approach and use tools to create a positive shift.
